Animation of NGT routes
This video animation (just over two minutes) shows a computer generated impression of modern trolleybuses travelling along parts of the proposed south, north and east routes and in Leeds city centre.
The animation starts with overhead views of the city before swooping in to show the vehicles on the south route running along Clarence Dock, across Leeds Bridge and up Lower Briggate.
It then shows the city centre, from Boar Lane through City Square and on to Park Row.
To the north of the city, it shows a trolleybus passing Leeds University on Woodhouse Lane, diverting off Headingley Lane to travel behind the Arndale Centre and then continuing along Otley Road.
On the east route the trolleybus travels along Beckett Street, stopping outside St James’s Hospital then continuing towards the city centre.
