About NGT

Following the publication of the Comprehensive Spending Review in October 2010, The Secretary of State for Transport made an announcement regarding a new process for approving major transport schemes.

The NGT scheme is now subject to the Government's new review process and in line with DfT Guidance, Metro and Leeds City Council have submitted a Best and Final Funding Bid setting out how cost savings could be made on the scheme.Artist's impression of trolleybuses at Leeds Uni
